In Just meanings, a PTC site is a Paid To Click Site where you earn by clicking on Advertisements and a GPT site is a Get Paid To Site where you earn by doing many tasks including Clicking on Advertisements.

On PTC/GPT sites working without referrals are just a waste of time. If you can’t get referrals. I suggest you do other Online stuff or Get involved in building your downline (referrals) . In Fact, when you register on any PTC/GPT site, you get your unique Referral link from the site normally by going to “Banners, Referral Tools, Promotional etc” page. Then by using(mean advertising on other PTC sites, Social Media Sites & Blogs etc) that unique link (referral link) you invite others to Join that PTC site. But there are two types of referrals like:

- Rented Referrals

The Kind or Pioneer of providing Tasks / Mini Jobs is CrowdFlower. No other company could compete it yet. It is providing its services to many GPT sites so You might see same Tasks on different GPT sites at once but remember, to complete Tasks you use CrowdFlower’s Labour account not GPT account. and your tasks history can appear on each GPT sites.

These kind of offers are probably organized by GPT sites themselves, to bridge two other participants, the users and advertisers. On this section, advertisers purchase Sign-Up Credits from the GPT site and use them to place their offers on Site. Let’s take an example of me, I want to advertise my referral link of PTCUltimate on Twickerz and decided to get 100 Referrals. I would first have to purchase Sign-Up credits from Twickerz and can place my Sign UP offers there as following:

These are the offers where third party companies linked in GPT sites to offer you different type of softwares to download, install and then get mentioned reward from the site you are working in. The most popular third party companies are: TrialPay, Matomy (it is offering Surveys as well), SupersonicAds, SuperRewards etc.
Online Product Purchase
On these type of offers you are supposed to purchase something from the Third Party Companies to get a certain reward. The product might be tangible or intangible both. Like there might be an offer that if you purchase Domain from GoDaddy.com then you’ll get $1-$2 reward etc. You need to follow the procedures mentioned there as well.
Social Media Activities
Social Media Activities are mostly based on Facebook Page Likes, Facebook Shares, Tweeter follows etc. You might can get $0.02-$0.05 for your each offer you complete. Some offers are about to comment on Youtube Videos, Youtube Video Likes etc.
6 – Shares / Investments
Some GPT sites got a very good idea about getting their users involved into another earning stream. They sell certain Share Packs to purchase and get certain return from them. This is like a HYIP business model and is not supported by big PTC/GPT empires except Twickerz. Twickerz actually brought a very unique investment idea which look very stable to me. Even I had personally invested $716 there. I hope so I’ll get good return from their sister site.

I actually have focused this article to work as an user or clicker and intentionally reduce the focus on advertiser’s perspective because I believe mostly advertisers are already genius and awared of many things I have mentioned above.
